I looooove Wii Sports (especially bowling)
I just wanted to spread the word how much I love the new Nintento Wii - mostly for the sports games right now.
When Dave got the Nintendo Wii, and told me about how awesome this system is going to be, I thought...ok, I could try this out...it looks and seems like fun.
For some reason when we first got it, I liked it..but not enough for me to want to use it, now...I am addicted. I don't know why I was like that, it just happened that way. What really jump-started me was when Dave and I went to our friend Ralph's house in Staten Island, NY for Thanksgiving weekend. I knew there was going to be a bunch of our friends together, and suddenly I wanted to play because I knew we going to play some sports as a group.
Well during one of the games, it was our friend Pete, Dave's friend Sarah, Dave, and I playing bowling, and I was having so much fun, and I was kicking some ass too! I have always loved bowling since I was a kid, and I used to have many bowling birthday parties.
Now that we are home, I start playing again, and I can't stop. The other night, I was trying to beat my old score in bowling, and I ended up playing for an hour, and I did beat my old score. I never play that long in general, but it was a freakin blast, and I think I got a good workout too!!! :o)
I like playing the tennis along with baseball. I haven't tried out the boxing, but I am sure that is just as awesome!
Dave is so shocked that I am actually playing! He thought I was too wrapped up in my soap operas to care about gaming. Well I guess you were wrong baby. I am back and ready to kick some ass!!!
Antek:
I have to agree that I totally freakin love the Wii, it kicks MAJOR ass in fact. Although I am a bit bummed out, it was me playing bowling with ya and do I get mentoined... no, no love for the captain... for shame.

And she is hooked! I really need to spend some time with this console to check it out. Seems like most of the fun is in gaming with other people and most of my gaming is solo at home. Glad you are enjoing it - now hows about some UNO?????

Tevin:
Uh yeah! Bowling is the best sports title in recent memory!!! Nothing better than a group of 20 something drinking and hurling hold-able projectiles at the TV! Great times indeed.

Some outside/inside photos of our Christmas decorations
Well Christmas is only 22 days away, so I am sure a lot of people have their Xmas trees set up already along with any outside decorations they want to display.
Our tree is not set up yet, but will be sometime this week, however we decided to decorate outside in addition to having a tree inside. Last year we did not do anything outside, but this year I wanted to splurge a little more, so we did, and this is the end result, so check it out....
I also forgot to mention that we decorated oour bannister going up the stairs inside as well (my idea by the way, lol). I wrapped around some red and green mixed garland, and added some red christmas lighs. I think it looks pretty cool.
Antek:
Very very nice yo :-)

Booster MPS:
Cool! You have WAY more spirit than me. I always love the way they look but I rarely decorate.

I have something to talk about, YAY!
So, it's been since July 11th since my last post. Too much time has passed.
I just wanted to tell you all that Dave and I joined Weight Watchers
(which I believe he mentioned already in a post of his own), but I wanted to let everyone know how we are doing up to this point.
This is our 10th week on it (2 -1/2 months) and we are dong really well.
Dave has lost 15.6 lbs so far.
I have lost 14.4 lbs.
We are on 1 of the 2 plans where we can eat most foods (as long as they are on the core list) and just eat to the point where we are comfortably full, and not feel like we stuffed ourselves.
We are not on an exercise program but I do some little things that Weight Watchers recommended for when you are sitting at your desk and they do work. Eventually we will get to the point where we will start exercising and lose weight quicker. For now we are happy with the way things are turning out, and we are not stopping until we hit our goal.
So that's my story. I hope you enjoyed reading. I think one day when we hit our goal we wil take our after photos and match it up with our old before photos we took way back.
Ta-ta for now....

Hey! Looks who is back!

My 1st Madonna concert!!!
This past Sunday night I got the opportunity to see Madonna live in concert for the Confessions tour, it was "the bomb"!
Two of my friends from work, and another girl and I went to the TD BankNorth Garden in Boston to see her. I am a HUGE Madonna fan, so it was a must see event. The ticket prices were outrageous but it was so worth it to go. The best seats cost $350.00! Going down in price the next price was $165.00, then $95.00 then $55.00. I tried to get the $55.00 but ticketmaster.com would not allow me to choose that price, so the cheapest I could get was $95.00. The seats were in east bum-fuck but who cares. I am proud to say I went to the Madonna concert!
I am telling ya...that woman doesn't care what she does on stage, which is fine with me. Well she rides a trojan horse, looks as if she is being crucified on a HUGE ass crucifix that she is laying up against, she gives the finger to the crowd likes 3 times, etc...
All-in-all she looked fabulous! For a 47-year old that woman dance and looks great in this skin-type outfits she wears during her performances!
Here are a few pictures that I found from her Confessions tour. I could not take any because I was way too far away, but I got some close-ups with binoculars that I brought.
Antek:
Glad you liked the show.. I am psyched because next week I get to go see Bon Jovi (6th time)
Its good to see Madonna pushes the envelope on stage and that she has not softened up (in more than one way)
Although... for those ticket prices she better come to your house after the show and do your laundry for lke 3 weeks.

Booster MPS:
Capt for those prices I would expect even a bit more!
I love me sum her, she is an awesome entertainer.

Mister Bones:
Very cool. Unfortunately, being married, having a kid, and just real life in general have pretty much put a halt to my concert going.

Some Ebay buyers just suck
Hi there! Well I have one issue wih ebay that I just wanted to discuss. Actually it's not necessarily an issue just yet, but it could be.
So I was selling something on ebay for roughly 3 days, and I got a bid by 1 person, and they ended up winning. Yay! Sold!!!! It was just a bottle of perfume that I owned, but never used it, and it was still brand new in the box. The auction total for this buyer is $18.50. Hey, I'll take it.
Well once the auction ended, I got the email from ebay that the auction was over, along with the buyer. I decided for the heck of it to send the buyer an invoice telling them how much they owe, just because.
I have not recieved a payment yet, and it is has been 4 days. I decided to send the winning bidder an email today, just reminding her of the payment due. I have not heard baack yet, but I am wondering if she is going to blow me off.
The reason why I say this is because I had a winning bidder one time who never paid for the item he/she won, and never responded to the 2 or 3 emails I sent. Apparently I was not the only one who had issues with that person, and because of that, that person's feedback rating was -3 I believe. Yeah, not good!
I just hope this is not the same situation as last time. I need this money, even though it is not even $20.00. Got to fill up the gas tank, ya know?!?! Why can't people just pay?!?! If you can't afford it, you shouldn't be bidding on it.
I think the next time I put up an auction, I am going to add...serious bidders only, payment must be received no later than 72 hours after the auction, etc...
I will wait a few more days, but if I don't see a payment, I am sending another email and if I don't see anything after that, I am going to re-list my auction, and I am leaving her negative feedback. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, this person only has a feedback rating of 2, so that could be trouble. A newbie!!! We will see...
Antek:
Some ebayers really do suck. One time I bought something, paid immediately and then recieved no item. I sent a ton of emails and heard nothing.. then later I was informed that this person was banned from ebay for other reasons and that because he was no longer a member ebay could not persue him for my money back. In a nutshell I was robbed of my $25 bucks.. DAMN MAN, THAT SUCKED.
basically I feel your pain sista :-P
I also promise that we will chat soon, I have been a bit occupied but I always have time for you and Dave.
1:10 AM
Mister Bones:
I've had horrible experiences with ebay, from paying and not receiving the item, to non paying bidders, and even once having my account stolen and used to bid on a transmission for a 98 Eclipse. I've never even driven an Eclipse, let alone owned one. But for some reason, I keep going back to Ebay. I get alot of my games there, and tons of old comics. There's no better place for the comics from the 50's and 60's.
7:21 AM
Booster MPS:
That really does suck! I have only one Ebay experience (and it was actually for something really expensive) and fortunately it worked out really good.
10:40 AM
Red Sox Fanatic:
Well...as of 5 days no payment, or no replies to 2 emails. I am going to re-list the item, and leave her bad feedback. Damn bitch!
I just hope I get a bid the 2nd time around....
9:50 PM
Silver:
Fuck the bitch, relist the item, give her bad feedback, and we're all happy people! Weeeee!!!

Want a new iPod for free???
Found a story on one of the local news websites I check on a daily basis in the consumer section, and the story reads: Trade Your Old CD's for a Free iPod. Now when I first saw the story, I am thinking....yeah right, that sounds too good to be true, but I continued to read on.
Right now I own the 30G video iPod, which I absolutely love, but for those who don't have one and want one, you need to read on.
So, this website called MilleniumMusic.com, who is a used CD retailer based in Charleston, South Carolina, is involved in this offer. What do you do is send in your old CD's and you get a free iPod depending on how many you send back to them. They offer 3 types of iPod's. In order to get an iPod Shuffle, you need to send back 35 CD's. In order to get a 2G iPod Nano, you need to send back 65 CD's. In order to get a $400 video iPod, you need to send back 175 of your old CD's.
Are you still interested at this point?!?! :o) I hope so. The only catch about this great offer is this company (Millenium Music) sometimes get CD's that may not be acceptable either because they are not really popular artists, or the CD's have some wear and tear. What they did for one couple who was have them send in a check for the difference of the iPod value, and they still received a new iPod. You also have the choice of sending more CD's.
I would do this if I didn't have an iPod, but I am all set. Course I don't know how well I would do with returning my old CD's because I didn't keep mine in the greatest shape, but who knows.

Antek:
Cool story but i wonder how much money you actually lose out on for the price it cost you to buy 175 cds.. also I would need them first to out on the Ipod before I traded them.
nonetheless... good find Heather and many Kudos go out to you for the post.
10:32 PM
Antek:
I meant to say "put them on the Ipod"
10:33 PM
Mister Bones:
Wish I had seen this before I sold all my cds.
7:41 AM
Booster MPS:
Very cool idea but I could never part with my music particularly for a piece of hardware that will be outdated in 6 months. That is too much to give up as music never goes out of style or gets old.
10:27 AM
Silver:
I'd like a Black 60GB iPod please.
Bah, fuck it...I'll just wait until they release a Widescreen iPod.

2) "I had to take my cat to the dentist."

4) "I saw that you weren't in the office, so I went out looking for you."
5) "I couldn't find the right tie, so I had to wait for the stores to open so I could buy one."

Antek:
I think that I have used # 10 the most ;)
10:35 PM
Mister Bones:
LOL! #9 actually happened to me once! A freakishly large, and obviously enraged bumble bee flew in my car window and stung me right on the side of the head. I still made it to work on time though.

Gonna have to use the one about hitting a goat, that is hilarious!
